En 1864, Alfred devenu compagnon, installe son atelier à Neaufles Saint Martin. L’entreprise familiale venait de voir le jour. Tous fabriquaient des jeux en bois : croquets, quilles, billards, bilboquets. Six générations se sont succédées, aujourd’hui Jean-François Jorelle est à la tête de l’entreprise. In 1864, after having served his apprenticeship, Alfred set up his workshop at Neaufles Saint Martin in France. It marked the start of a family business, whose members all lent a hand making wooden toys such as croquet sets, skittles, billiard and cup and ball games. Six generations of JORELLEs later and the enthusiasm is still the same, as strong as the wood that sparked it.Today, the company is run by Jean-François JORELLE, a happy man indeed. And do you know why? Because when he retires, he’ll be able to go fishing or play croquet with his friends, safe in the knowledge that the company will be in good hands – those of his two sons.
