Confidences d'artisan, Pour réaliser un jeu de croquet d'exception, j'utilise le bois provenant des forêts normandes : hêtre, frène ondé, érable, charme, merisier, sycomore, châtaignier, buis, noyer, alisier rose et blanc. Lorsque je tourne le bois, chaque essence me rappelle sa différence par son parfum, le "fruité" du merisier et le "poivré" du noyer vous invitent à un bal des senteurs.
Chaque bois est choisi en fonction de ses qualités: La dureté pour le buis et le charme, la finesse du grain pour le noyer et le sycomore, la souplesse et la résistance pour le frêne...
